I haven’t read the book yet, but I did listen to an interview with Dr. Marion on Minnesota Public Radio. Dr. Marion is a pediatric geneticist and has the unenviable role of telling parents that their child has tested positive for a genetic disease. What struck me about this interview was the doctor’s humility, the epiphany that lead to this humility and the ethical questions that he asks himself about the role that he plays in society and in people’s lives.
